LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking site founded launched in May 2003. The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. LinkedIn has over 41 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the world. A new member joins LinkedIn approximately every second, and about half of our members are outside the U.S.
