Abbey National
Abbey, officially Abbey National plc is a very popular bank in the UK. Abbey National used to be a building society and was taken over by Spanish Banking Group Santander in 2004 and was namde Abbey National. Their offer all types of banking services for its clients including personal banking, commercial lending, insurance, investment brokerage service and also investment banking. Recently Santander has accquired Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley. They have announced a rebranding of the whole UK business by 2010 as Santander.
